2023 document notes, clarifications, and errata

1. In the 2023 report’s Education and Youth chapter, suspension rates are described as suspensions per 1,000 students. To clarify, this indicator is actually based on the number of students suspended at least once per 1,000 students. If a student has more than one suspension in a year, they only count towards this rate once.

2019 document notes and errata

1. The final version of the 2019 report was posted to this site on 10/14/19. An updated version, with no changes other than a typo corrected in a mailing address on the back cover, was posted to this site on 10/19/19.
2. In Figure 3.1, the inset map contains lines pointing to the Outer Ring and Inner Ring that are not the correct length, making it appear mislabeled. The GH Outer Ring and GH Inner Ring areas within the inset map in Figure 2.8 is correctly labeled. In Figure 3.1, the adjacent dot plot provides the correct life expectancy figures for these areas.

These crosstabs contain data collected through the 2018 DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey’s live, in-depth interviews with 16,043 individuals statewide including 239 in the City of New Britain, CT. These crosstabs focus on results from one geographic area; results for other areas are available via the main survey page. The survey assessed topics such as health, employment, and neighborhood resources. Respondents spanned a broad range of ages, ethnicities, and socioeconomic statuses from every Connecticut zip code, and all results are based on weighting survey data to be representative of the entire adult population (see methodology).
